My favorite song is World on Fire by Sarah McLachlan. I love this song because it addresses the issue of poverty in our world. So often we would much prefer to forget or remain ignorant of the suffering people experience but Sarah McLachlan insists we are aware of these issues with her lyrics. I connect to it because I want to do something to change poverty. I have volunteered with HIV/AIDS organizations and donated funds to NGO's. The song touches my soul because I often feel the same way that the artist does about people's indifferences to other's suffering. I love this song and it calls me into action each and every time I listen to it.
